Beraja Medical Institute is searching for Board certified / eligible ophthalmologists who are bright, energetic and hardworking surgeons who desire to possess excellent bedside manners and develop superior surgical skills. Some Spanish is preferred.
BMI is a prestigious ophthalmology group practice serving South Florida for over 25 years. Our 7 physicians practice has an on-site AAAHC Certified Ambulatory Surgical Center, with 4 fully equipped OR’s, performs over 3000 major surgeries and has over 30,000 patient contacts per year.
Our fellowships are clinical where the fellow takes care of patients. Clinical Research is performed as part of the fellowship.

Oculoplastic, Glaucoma and Anterior Segment
Fellows have an active role and perform surgeries that are part of the practice, generate referrals from the community, rotate in the on-call schedule. Clinical research and publication is encouraged. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with the other fellowships.
You must be able to obtain an unrestricted Florida Medical License. We interview candidates graduated from US or Canada Ophthalmology residency programs.
We also interview International Medical School Graduates who meet the following three criteria:
- Passed ECFMG
- Passed USMLE 1, 2, and 3
- Having completed an ophthalmology residency anywhere (any country)
- Have a license to practice medicine anywhere (in the US or abroad).
- Completed two (2) years in an accredited ACGME program. This means two (2) years of an accredited fellowship or one (1) year of an accredited internship and one (1) year of residency in any specialty.
To start you must have a Florida State Medical license and you must have passed all 3 parts of the USMLE for a Florida License.
