Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery
Are your eyelids making you look tired?
Would you like to have a fresh appearance every day?
If you answered “Yes“, you may benefit from Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery.
Make eye contact with confidence and create a great first impression!
Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, also known as Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty, are procedures used to improve a person’s appearance by correcting baggy upper or lower eyelids which can make you look less youthful and tired.
A few minutes a day of exposure to ultraviolet sunlight accelerates skin aging. Most of us are unaware that just walking outdoors, jogging, or going to the car in a parking lot exposes our skin to damaging UV rays. It doesn’t even have to be sunny outside because UV rays pass through the clouds. The irreversible skin damage accumulates every year. If you love going to the beach or basking in the sun by the pool, then the aging process happens even faster!
Many men and women in their 30’s are having Cosmetic Upper and Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty as a first step to looking rejuvenated, rested, and alert. This procedure is often combined with Botox Injections, Wrinkle Reduction Fillers, and/or a Facelift Surgery.

Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty
Look your best once again!
In order to achieve the most natural and youthful eyelids, the excess skin and fat are removed using incisions that are disguised along natural skin creases.
With time these become scarcely visible.
We routinely perform Lower Blepharoplasty, for those who qualify, through the inside of the eye lid in order to leave absolutely no visible scars.
During the procedure we use fibrin glue that helps the tissues adhere to reduce the postoperative swelling and bruising. This way you can get back to your normal routines as quickly as possible.
The effects of an Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty last many years.
Our aesthetic procedures are performed at on the first floor of our medical building. It is a Plastic Surgery center, fully equipped and licensed by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) for outpatient surgery.Call now and make an appointment today!

Am I a Candidate?
The best candidates for an Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty are patients who are 35 years of age and over, have wrinkles around the eyelids, lose skin, or bags under the eyes.
Some younger patients are good candidates to have the Lower Blepharoplasty performed through the inside of the lid leaving absolutely no visible scars.
Many times a Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery is combined with Botox Injections, Wrinkle Reduction Fillers, and/or a Facelift Surgery. Come see what is best for your specific case and have your questions answered.

Before the Operation
Let our anesthesiologist know if you are taking aspirin or any blood thinners. You can be calm and awake or asleep through the entire operation. Make sure you let our anesthesiologists know your preference.
Make arrangements for someone to take you back home after the surgery since you will not be able to drive. Fill all prescriptions so you can begin using them as indicated. Come to the surgery center without having breakfast at the designated time. The day of surgery don’t wear makeup or use nail polish. Dress comfortably in loose-fitting clothes.
Our friendly staff is available to help you with financial arrangements and answer any questions.
This procedure takes about 30 – 45 minutes for the Upper or the Lower Blepharoplasty. Cosmetic Eyelid surgery is performed under local anesthesia with intravenous sedation.
We use fibrin glue during the procedure to reduce postoperative swelling and bruising. This allows our patients to return to their normal life style in a shorter period of time.
Although all surgeries leave scars, our surgeon will make every attempt to disguise them along the natural creases or inside the eye lid. With time the scars will fade and should be scarcely visible.
After Your Operation
The recovery period varies depending on how you heal.
It is important for you to go home immediately after your surgery and sleep for the first 24 hours. To reduce swelling, place two to three pillows behind your back and remain semi-reclined while you sleep or rest with your neck straight. The first day apply cold compresses for 15 minutes every 4 hours and use the antibiotic ointment on the sutures. Please keep your head elevated at all times.
One week after your operation we will remove your sutures.
It is normal to have some discomfort and tightness in the skin for a few days and some swelling and bruising the first two weeks. Most patients return to work in one week or less and resume their normal social activities after two weeks, including exercising and going to the gym as they did before surgery.
